Hawaii is arguably one of the most beautiful places in the United States. People flock there for fun in the sun, and also for rest and relaxation, particularly during the months that are cold in other parts of the world. One popular destination for many reasons is oahu pearl harbor, which is about a 30-minute drive west of Honolulu.
Complete with a rich history of local royalty and a number of memorials dedicated to the tragic events of December 7, 1941 (the day the Japanese attacked the US and cemented the Americans’ place in World War II), Pearl Harbor is also, as is all of Hawaii, a place of stunning beauty and breathtaking scenery.
Visitors to Oahu will find something to do at almost any time of the year, as Oahu is host to more festivals than any other state in the US, and also welcomes those who want to take in one of several professional sporting events held throughout the year. Festivals can be found all spring and summer, and sporting events happen all year round.
In addition to those activities, Oahu is also the place to be in the latter months of the year. The end of the year is big wave season for surfers on the North Shore of Oahu, and November and December are the time when there are major surfing competitions going on. Lovers of aquatic mammals will want to visit during the winter and early spring months, when it’s whale-watching season.
Most of the visitor tours in in Oahu will include the oahu pearl harbor WWII Memorials, the North Shore beaches, and the Dole Pineapple Plantation. The entire area is achingly gorgeous, there is delicious, mouthwatering food to be had, and of course, there is the sunshine. Pearl Harbor, Oahu is definitely a worthwhile place to spend some time.
